Which one is John Travolta? (Picture: Facebook)

If they ever need someone to play John Travolta’s twin brother in a film, we think this dog would be perfect.

Boof’s forehead, eyes and chin make him look uncannily like the Pulp Fiction star.

The similarities have already been noticed by South Australian Dog Rescue, where the animal stays, and they’ve referred to him as the Hollywood star in a Facebook post.

The two-year-old is currently looking for a new owner but will need a special home as he is deaf.

If you are interested in knowing more about Boof you can visit the animal sanctuary’s Facebook page here.

What was that you said again, John Travolta? (Picture: Getty Images)

The Oscars might be a slick, spectacular production, but that doesn’t mean it can’t fall victim to the perils of live TV from time to time.

Yes, no matter how carefully rehearsed the whole shebang might be, when things go wrong on the Academy stage, they go very, very wrong indeed.

So, how many of these flubs, fluffs, and – how shall we put this? – ‘unscripted moments’ do you remember…?

He called Frozen star Idina Menzel Adele Dazeem at last year’s Oscars so John Travolta had to be on his best behaviour this year. Right?

Well if squeezing Idina’s face, looking sinisterly at Benedict Cumberbatch and creeping the hell out of Scarlett Johansson on the red carpet is him redeeming himself this year, then he succeeded.

But in actual fact, Travolta kinda creeped the hell out of us.

And now we’re pretty sure everyone will be expecting him to return to the Academy Awards next year to make up for the cringe-fest he provided this year…

The 87th Academy Awards hit Hollywood last night, and as always there were plenty of pretty dresses, surprise winners, shocking snubs and not very many black winners.

There were plenty of big questions: would Michael Keaton finally get an Oscar (he should have got 10 for Beetlejuice alone)?

Would Meryl Streep finally have enough Oscars to melt down and build a 20 foot effigy of herself?

Was veteran awards show host Neil Patrick Harris going to play it Billy Crystal safe, or Ricky Gervais ballsy?

There were plenty of awkward moments to go round (Picture: Rex)

Ah, the Oscars.

Many have criticised the Academy Awards for being just one long back-slapping session for the usual Hollywood types – and yes, that happened a lot.

But this year’s ceremony also upped the ante in the awkward stakes.

From rather ill-judged jokes to pretty much everything John Travolta did, there was plenty to make the residents of Tinseltown cringe.

So. Much. Awkward.

Following John Travolta’s cringeworthy performance at the Oscars – man-handling Scarlett Johansson, then grabbing an unsuspecting Idina Menzel’s face while on stage – we wondered if there was anything more creepy that celebs have done.

Turns out, they’ve done much worse. Like…

1. When Ryan Seacrest tried to high-five a blind man.

Seriously awkward and pretty dumb.

2. When Demi Moore full-on snogged a young boy.

Not just once, but at 1m 20s, 1m 50s and 4m 37s.

The moment John Travolta grabbed Idina Menzel’s chin at the Oscars wasn’t ‘creepy’, says the star – because it was planned before the show.

The 61-year-old caused a stir as he leaned in to stroke the face of the Frozen singer, 43, as they presented the award for best original song.

Poor John Travolta became a bit of a laughing stock when he was pictured planting an awkward kiss on Scarlett Johansson at the Oscars.

This death metal reworking of Grease will make you see the musical in a whole new light

Grease may be one of the most successful film musicals of all time – but we can’t help wondering how much of that money it would have made if it had sounded like this.

Because the film – or at least one of its signature songs, You’re The One That I Want – has been given a death metal makeover courtesy of YouTuber Andy Rehfeldt.

And as you can hear from the above, the results defy description. We don’t remember Olivia Newton-John’s wholesome alter ego Sandy sounding that gruff in the original movie.

Pulp Fiction cast list reveals John Travolta and Uma Thurman were not Quentin Tarantino’s first choice

Quentin Tarantino’s cult hit Pulp Fiction could have looked very different if the director had got who he originally wanted for the film.

A hand-typed cast list, said to be Quentin’s original, was leaked online, posted on Reddit and claims that Reservoir Dogs actor Michael Madsen was the first choice for Vincent.

Travolta, who was eventually cast in the lead role, was a ‘strong strong strong second choice’.

A longer list claims that Tarantino was after Virginia Madsen for Mia Wallace instead of Uma Thurman while Nicholas Cage was apparently his top choice for Butch rather than Bruce Willis.

Vincent Vega certainly looked a bit confused in Pulp Fiction (Picture: Miramax)

If you’ve ever watched Pulp Fiction then you may recall that John Travolta’s character Vincent Vega seems too spend much of his time looking confused. Really confused.

So much so that the character’s perpetually puzzled expression has now inspired a series of gifs – not to mention a sub-reddit – putting him in some rather unlikely situations.

Yup, from the Oscars through to The Simpsons, there’s no escaping Vincent’s confused-looking face.

It all started after Imgur user ILikeToWonkaMyWilly – in response to his daughter saying she wanted a doll for Christmas – posted a gif of Travolta’s character looking… Read the full story

Quentin Tarantino has given his fans something to chat about by confirming there is a link between all of his movies.

The director has reacted to fan theories about his characters all being connected in some way, saying there are two distinctive types of ‘universe’ in which his films take place, layered together.

Tarantino told Dazed Digital: ‘There is actually two separate universes (sic). There is the realer than real universe, alright, and… Read the full story

Hey, it’s Ross Geller! Wait… nope… no, it’s Rob Kardashian (Picture: BBC)

Tonight, after a long absence, Central Perk customer Ross Geller showed up on UK TV for the first time in ages.

Actually, it wasn’t him. It was Kim Kardashian’s dad, Rob Kardashian. Played by David Schwimmer, from Friends. Got it?

Well quite a few viewers didn’t quite get it, and couldn’t separate David and his new role as OJ Simpson’s lawyer Rob Kardashian from the science-loving Ross we all know and love.

Viewers of American Crime Story: The People Vs OJ Simpson on BBC Two headed straight to Twitter to express their utter confusion – over Ross/Rob/David and co-star John ‘eyebrows’ Travolta,… Read the full story

The strange details of John Travolta’s rider have been reported.

Demands allegedly include a ‘male masseur’ and windows blacked out with curtains and ‘aluminium foil’, according to the report from Page Six.

The Pulp Fiction star, 62, also supposedly brings his own sheets wherever he goes and requests that his room be left empty 24 hours before he arrives to clear the air.

JT doesn’t look like this anymore (Picture: Reddit)

John Travolta has given himself a whole new look.

Last year the Hollywood actor was snapped in the gym at 3am – au naturel hairline and all – by a fellow 3am gym goer.

And not that it matters to us, because we love both the bald and the hirsute, but it showed that his hair had completely retreated from his forehead.

John fancied restoring it to its former glory however – and now his hair is right back where it once was.

And then some.

Mikey was the cute kid who desperately wanted a dad in the 1989 film Look Who’s Talking.

It was a movie about a career-driven single mum Mollie (Kirstie Alley), who had an illegitimate child with a married man and then fell in love with the cab driver James Ubriacco (John Travolta) who got her to hospital during labour.

Mikey was the little lad at the centre of it all, who learned from the other kids in the playground that he should really have a dad, so he decided to pick his own – the cabbie James.

Danny and Sandy in Grease. AKA a couple of ghosts

There’s a dark theory going around that Danny and Sandy were actually dead when they sang all those classic tunes in Grease.

Well, either dead or dying, the theory goes.

That whole thing in Summer Nights where Sandy sings about Danny saving her from drowning on the beach – no apparently he didn’t manage to save her, and the whole film is actually her dying dream.

Explains why they break into song every five minutes.

The song about Sandra Dee ends with the line ‘Goodbye to Sandra Dee’ which these Read the full story

Remember that fan theory that made Grease seem a hell of a lot darker than we could have ever imagined?

Horrifically, it claimed that Danny and Sandy were DEAD the whole time in Grease, and had some weirdly convincing evidence that backed up the theory.

Firstly, there was the moment in Summer Nights where Sandy sings about Danny saving her from drowning – but the theory claimed that he didn’t save her.

And then there’s the whole symbolism of the line ‘Goodbye to Sandra Dee’ in the song… Read the full story
